Our workshop proposal is under review. Once it is accepted, this page will list the call for papers, deadlines, and the keynote speaker.

What we are planning

In line with the HRI 2027 theme Innovative HRI, the workshop focuses on moving XR interfaces from passive visualizations towards adaptive, bi-directional, and AI-enhanced interaction between people and robots.

We plan to invite 2–6 page papers, including early-stage work, handled via OpenReview. Every accepted paper is presented as a lightning talk and as a poster. Authors can also apply to show a live demo.

  1. Welcome and icebreaker 10 min
  2. Invited keynote and discussion 40 min
  3. Lightning talks for all accepted papers 45 min
  4. Poster and demo session with coffee 45 min
  5. Breakout groups on the grand challenges of XR for HRI 55 min
  6. Group reports and panel discussion 35 min
  7. Wrap-up and next steps 10 min

Remote participants can join every session, including a dedicated online breakout group.
